Changelog: 2020-Oct-13

Please Note: Additional items may be appended to this Changelog in the near future once finalized.

Pushed to production :white_check_mark:, Pushed to Sandbox :beach_umbrella:.

Critical Updates

  • :white_check_mark: Physical Document Verification (Video Auth): Video Auth Submissions without audio that previously triggered automatic rejection will now instead be flagged for manual review. As a consequence, audio_undetected is now a security flag rather than a failure reason (i.e. submissions without audio will now initially be marked SUBMITTED|REVIEWING instead of SUBMITTED|INVALID).
    • This update was made in part to account for silent submissions that may nonetheless be valid (e.g. sign language submissions).
    • For context, the first iteration of this functionality (i.e. that originally invalidated submissions without audio) was detailed in the September 28th Changelog.

New Features

  • :beach_umbrella: Card Processing V2 (AVS Checks): AVS (Address Verification System) checks have been enabled in Sandbox for Card Processing (i.e. external cards / INTERCHANGE-US nodes).

    • You can trigger an AVS exception in Sandbox by first creating a user with Base Doc address of β€œ325 S Santa Claus Ln North Pole, AK 99705” and then attempting to create an INTERCHANGE-US node for the user (for future reference, this test address is listed in the Addresses section of the Sandbox Test Values page). The response should include the following message: β€œThe zip code and address provided do not match the zip code and address on the card.”
  • :beach_umbrella: Card Processing V2 (Duplicate Card Prevention): Duplicate Card Prevention has also been enabled in Sandbox for Card Processing. This feature is still undergoing additional internal testing and behavior described below is subject to change.

    • You can trigger a duplicate card response in Sandbox by attempting to link to an external test card with PAN of 9999999999999999 and expiration date of 202412 (for future reference, this test card is listed in the Test Cards section of the Sandbox Test Values page). The response should include the following failure response: β€œCard cannot be added, already in use.”

Improvements

  • :white_check_mark: Native Card Issuance (View Card Shipment Endpoint): The response for the View Card Shipment API endpoint has been updated.

    • Improvements include normalizing field names for address fields to align with naming conventions used by other Synapse API endpoints.
  • :white_check_mark: Native Card Issuance (Provisional Credits): Improved reliability of provisional credits for Synapse Native card disputes.

Fixes

  • :white_check_mark: Client Dashboard (Rendering Statements): Fixed issue with some user statements not rendering in the Client Dashboard (i.e. links not being visible in Client Dashboard even though the statements had been generated and were visible to Synapse agents).

  • :white_check_mark: Client Dashboard (Dates for Ad-Hoc Statements): Fixed UI issue in the Dashboard in which links to download on-demand/ad-hoc statements were labeled with a month range (i.e. as would be the case with standard monthly statements) rather than custom time ranges as expected.

  • :white_check_mark: Client Dashboard (Transaction Creation with ACH Nodes): Fixed issue where a linked ACH node without a nickname would not display as an option in Dashboard UI when creating a transaction. If necessary, you can search for an ACH node without a nickname by supplying the ACH node’s ID (e.g. in the input area for the receiving node).

  • :white_check_mark: Admin Transaction Returns (Wire Recalls): Fixed issue with wire recall transactions not populating memo (extra.note) field with expected data.

  • :white_check_mark: Client Dashboard (File Downloads): Fixed issue with downloading large files in the Dashboard (e.g. transaction history reports, Platform user reports, etc.). Deployed fix that should stabilize downloads, but future fixes may be required to improve download speed for very large files.

  • :beach_umbrella: Physical Document Verification (Video Auth): Fixed issue preventing verification of Video Auth submissions in Sandbox.
